Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is currently seeking a full-time Recruiter to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio! The Recruiter is to partner with hiring managers to determine current and future staffing needs.  Achieve staffing objectives by sourcing, screening, interviewing and evaluating candidates.


Essential Functions:

  • Build and implement overall recruiting strategy to find qualified candidates using a number of recruiting tools.
  • Develop methods to maintain an applicant pool for each area including determining different sourcing strategies, implementing screening tools and maintaining ongoing contact with applicants.
  • Partner with hiring managers/supervisors to determine current and future staffing needs and position qualifications and requirements. Maintains contact with hiring managers/supervisors and candidates throughout staffing process.
  • Work in our Applicant Tracking System to post available positions and assist with sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing and selecting candidates to fill agency openings.
  • Screen applicants by evaluating their resume/application and conducting phone and in person interviews. Recommend qualified candidates to hiring manager/supervisor.
  • Create and implement staffing metrics, such as time to hire and turnover.
  • Representing the agency in public settings, such as job fairs.
  • Function as an expert in Behavior and Value Based interviewing.
  • Lead or participate on projects outside of the normal recruiting responsibilities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Specific Experience/Skills/Abilities:

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the applicant selection process from open position to filled.
  • Experienced in using different sourcing tools including social media and the internet to promote open positions.
  • Experienced in employment laws and regulations.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize work and manage high levels of activity.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resource, Business Administration or related field. May substitute five years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have valid driver's license and automotive insurance. Must regularly provide the agency with proof of valid automotive insurance.
